OUR PROCESS

In a world of fast fashion, there remain some businesses that strive for quality over quantity.  We at COTTON BASICS choose to stick with our unique small batch process, so that we can provide our customers with garments that are long-lasting and feel custom-made.

Because of our small batch operations, we have more of a made-to-order model. Typically, you can expect your order to ship within 1-4 weeks. Occasionally, if we have to make the item "from scratch," delivery could be in the 6-8 week range. Below explains how our operation works, and how your order fits into the scheme of our process.

Process

Cut, sew, dye, wash and send!

Three Scenarios and How Each Affects Delivery Time

Scenario 1. Finished Garment in Stock

When your order is received, we immediately check the warehouse and all stores for inventory. If we are lucky, we will have your garment style in your exact color and size in stock, which we will then ship to you right away.

Scenario 2. Garment is Ready-to-Dye

If the exact garment is not available, we will check our ready-to-dye stock for the desired size and send it through the dye process. We produce the majority of our garments in white, shelve them, and then dye as we receive orders.

Scenario 3. Full Production Process

If the garment is not in stock at all, or if it has a special hemming, dye, or other customization request, we will likely go through the entire production process of cutting, sewing, washing and dyeing. These orders are often the ones that take up to 6-8 weeks.

Although our process can seem long, it enables us to offer customers our vast array of color options, design customizations, and all items year round.

If you have a particular timeline or a special occasion, please let us know, and we will try our best meet your needs.
